The whispering bay. Ever shifting colours.  All new to me back then.  It was as if time itself was opening a door for me. 
 I stopped, considered , then carefully laid aside my inherited bike to step out from that long dark tunnel. A joyously different world immediately embraced me to congratulate my braveness.
Now, with those childhood years long gone, that moment still resonates with me . It has become a metaphor for an eternal dichotomy.
Do I dare to venture into a new environment, wondrous but full of unknowns, or do I stay put in the security of the familiar and established?
