This is a painting where I want you to guess what is going on. No-one will be wrong. The ambiguity of the situation ranges from downright ‘inappropriate’ behavior through to one’s partner having to revert to such mundane things as going to work. Whichever, I hope we can all associate with the plight of the lady left behind!!
